Two folks in the Methow Valley drafted the appended letter and sent it to our Democratic leadership in Congress.  750+ folks have signed on and our goal is to obtain 1,000 signatures.

Ken Martin, the new DNC Chair, recently responded favorably to the letter and advised the authors that the Democratic leadership in Congress has implemented many recommendations in the letter.  He has been exchanging text messages with the authors of the letter and thanked them for many recommendations in the letter.  A recent Washington Post article summarized the new Democratic leadership strategy and several recommendations in our letter were mentioned in the article.  It’s very encouraging.
