The Kitsap County Auditor’s Office can accomodate up to six observers at one time. Observers are asked to report to the Kitsap County Ballot Processing Center located at 8900 Imperial Way SW, Bremerton WA 98312. Report to the desk at the front door, and observers will be issued a vest and escorted into the facility.
Notice is hereby given that on Nov. 5, 2024, there will be a General Election for approximately 190,000 registered voters in Kitsap County. This election will be conducted entirely by mail.
Voter Registration
Citizens may register to vote by completing or printing an application, available online at votewa.gov, or in person at the Kitsap County Auditor’s Office (kitsap.gov/elections). Libraries, city halls, public schools and fire district offices may also have registration forms.
The last day for mail and online voter registration, updates, and voting residence transfers for this election is Oct. 28, 2024.
The in-person voter registration deadline for this election for citizens not currently registered to vote, or to update a Washington address is 8 p.m., Election Day, Nov. 5, 2024, at the Auditor’s Office, 619 Division St., Port Orchard, WA 98366, and Nov. 2, Nov. 4, and Election Day, Nov. 5, at one of three Vote Centers: Poulsbo Fire Station, 911 Liberty Road, Poulsbo; Marvin Williams Recreation Center, 725 Park Avenue, Bremerton; and Kitsap County Administration Building, 619 Division Street, Port Orchard. The Vote Centers are open 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Nov. 2, and Nov. 4; and 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 5, 2024.
Voter Assistance
Accessible voting units, which enable voters to cast ballots independently and in private, are available for this election. These secure voting devices provide audio capabilities and a paper ballot. They are available for use at the Auditor’s Office, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, October 18, 2024 – Nov. 1, 2024. The accessible voting units will also be available at the Vote Centers: Poulsbo Fire Station, 911 Liberty Road, Poulsbo; Marvin Williams Recreation Center, 725 Park Avenue, Bremerton; and Kitsap County Administration Building, 619 Division Street, Port Orchard. The Vote Centers are open 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Nov. 2, and Nov. 4; and 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 5, 2024.

Public meetings
All public meetings for this election will be held at the Kitsap County Department of Emergency Management Building, 8900 Imperial Way SW, Bremerton, WA 98312. All meetings shall be continued until the activity for which the meeting is held has been completed:
* The Kitsap County Auditor’s Office Elections Division will hold a public meeting for Certification of Logic and Accuracy for programming of the Accessible Voting Units and digital scan voting equipment. This test is in preparation for the Nov. 5, 2024 General Election. The meeting is at 10 a.m., Oct. 9, 2024, in the Kitsap County Department of Emergency Management Building, 8900 Imperial Way SW, Bremerton, WA 98312. The meeting is open to the public and will be recorded and viewable on the Kitsap County Auditor’s Elections page, kitsap.gov/elections.
* The Kitsap County Canvassing Board, or its duly authorized representatives, will convene for the purposes of opening and canvassing ballots at 8 a.m., Oct. 21, 2024 and will meet as needed through Nov. 25, 2024, until all valid mail and provisional ballots are opened and canvassed. Meetings may convene at approximately 8 a.m. and end at approximately 4:30 p.m. daily.
* A Random Batch Audit in which a batch of ballots are counted to test the accuracy of the tabulation system will be at 10 a.m., Nov. 6, 2024.
* A Risk Limiting Audit, in which ballots selected at random by the Washington Secretary of State’s Office are reviewed to test the accuracy of the tabulation system will be 8:45 a.m. – 1:15 p.m., Nov. 19, 2024
* Canvassing Board determination of challenged ballots is at 9 a.m., Nov. 25, 2024.
* Canvassing Board certification of the election is at 9 a.m., Nov. 26, 2024.
